I love this place, stunning views! The reason for the 2-star review is the fact that everywhere is posted that you can't swim, however everyone swims... I did not bring a suit and did not go in the water afraid of someone showing up and giving me a fine.. That is state of fear promoted by the park... They can show up at any time and fine whoever they want to... Please allow swimming or enforce the rules in place...

Absolutely Beautiful! My only suggestion is not to park at Mass lot. NY has a lot about 1 mile further down the road. It is level walking for kids and elders. The path runs beside the river from the falls and is beautiful.

So beautiful and refreshing. Two main access points, one to start up top and descend immediately to the falls located in MA and the other below in NY to hike in maybe less than a mile. Please note the town has recently designated this area a nature preserve and blocked off the stairs descending to the base of the waterfall. The Sherriff I talked to said people were creating an inordinate amount of trash and not picking up that it spurred the town to protect this gorgeous area from harm. There are still scenic views from the top and if you move closer to the large information sign at the top the view actually gets better. It is too bad that visitors cannot descend the stairs, but I have a hunch police are only there on the weekend when the tourist crowds come.

Always a must see. I grew up in Niagara Falls NY and lived less than 5 min walking distance to the falls. Bash bish is another family favorite of mine on a smaller scale. Bash Bish falls are small but beautiful. The surrounding area/town is like a movie. It looks like the classic rural old America farm towns. I love just driving around after and checking out all the cool scenery. 😎

Been coming for years. Love this place. Be aware a lot of the surrounding area of the nose and peak are closed to state land now. No trespassing.
