See real, 200 million year old dinosaur tracks preserved in place. Enjoy hiking trails, gardens, track casting, mining, and a Discovery Room.

Dinosaur State Park is a must-visit destination if you are in the area and/or have an avid dinosaur lover in your family. Come for the history, stay for the nature walk. Enjoyable trails suitable for a variety of hikers. The exhibit hall and a portion of trail are wheelchair and stroller accessible, but most of the trails are not wheel friendly. It's a wonderful place to meet with family and friends and have an outdoor picnic and enjoy the beautiful natural environment - just do not plan to visit on a Monday because they are closed Mondays.

This is one of the coolest places in CT, and the only completely intact set of dinosaur tracks in North America (according to the signs). Lots of information about geology, Earth history, and of course dinosaurs. I felt like a little kid while I walked around and took in all the exhibits. Definitely worth a visit if you're looking for something totally different to do. Keep in mind that the exhibition center (with the Dino tracks) does have a small admission fee.

Small yet mighty! Our family loves it here. Real dino footprints! They built the building around them. I find it amazing. Lots of info inside. Live animals. We've seen a film, seen a live animal presentation and panned for gems. Walking trails outside.

Great place to take the kiddos! The museum is super cool and I would rate the trails as easy. Everything is kid friendly ♡
