Exhibits include a model of the Helderberg Escarpment, a live honeybee observation hive, bird viewing areas, fossils, furs, skulls and lots of hands-on displays. Live amphibians and reptiles are on display in the spring and summer months.

Attended the opening reception of the annual Nature Art show where 2 of my paintings are on display. The show was beautiful with dozens of gorgeous works, the staff is pleasant and did a great job with everyone's work.

A well maintained, low key education center with resources for all. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. There is a small shop with a good selection of local resources, books and souvenirs. They do a variety of community outreach activities including nature talks and bird watching, arts activities for kids, and art shows where community as artists can exhibit. They do a lot with relatively few resources, and are worth your visit and support.

So this place is really cool I don't think I've ever been here before maybe a long long time ago I don't know I didn't get to stay here for long because I arrived a half an hour before closing but the employees they were very friendly there was a loose turtle or tortoise roaming around they have an extensive fossil and gem stone exhibit, they also have an apiary which is a thing for bees, you should also make sure you ask about the salamanders
