Probably the best zoo in all of New York City. You will always have a great time here. Parking is a bit expensive, but its worth it! It helps you discover different animals and it is calm and enjoyable. It is a fun experience when you are bored. The shop is great here. Good prices. There is many seating areas and transit. Overall, I would give this a fresh 10/10. Recommend it.

The Bronx Zoo was awesome. The staff members were friendly and very knowledgeable about everything. There's lots of animals to see and the sea lions were really fun to watch. The Dancing Crane restaurant serves really good family friendly food(like pizza, chicken strips, hamburgers and other food that's good for picky little eaters). Be sure to wear comfortable walking shoes since you'll be walking around for hours. I highly recommend this zoo to everyone living in NYC or if you're only here for a visit.

We were pleasantly surprised by this zoo. Not your ordinary “animals in cages” experience. They have really set it up so it feels more natural. Lots of variety and things for young kids to do also. One downside was they could have more food/drink options…it’s basically chicken tenders and burgers. Which is fine for a day out but I assume there are repeat visitors who may want more. Still a great experience. Definitely book the parking also. You don’t want to be searching the streets for a spot around this area.

Very well organized with timed entries. Especially loved the nature trails that were wonderful obstacle course activities. Really liked the monorail but not easy to see all the animals. The gorilla exhibit was very nice, too. It was an expensive afternoon but a lot of fun for my whole family including my 3 year old grandson!

Bronx zoo was once a great family experience. It's no longer. Before a family can go to the zoo and enjoy the day.. instead they will not allow u to buy tickets by walk on no more.. only online and with vaccine are required and still u still have to wear a mask. It's no longer a family event... so sad. I grew up 15 min walk from there. I will no longer support them
